if we need to change same cell in different sheets
1. press control key and click on all the sheeys
example- sheet1,sheet2,sheet3
2. Now select cell to change and enter data
3. Now click file and then save
you can notice that data entered will be stored in same location for all sheets.
Tips to enter next line within a cell-
when typing the words for next line just press ALT key and press enter, now you can type in next line within the same cell.
Tips to use back same format-
if you want to use same format file just select File and save as TEMPLATE.next time you can just use back this.
this is useful especially when u have a file need to enter data everyday.
other tips-
Repeat
To repeat an operation press F4
Undo
To undo an operation ptess Ctrl+Z
Tab color-
If a file is with several worksheets, you can use color in your tab to help visually locate them. To make color tabs, right click on the tab you wish to edit and choose Tab Color from the popup menu. Select a color and click OK.
calculator-
If you need a calculator in your Excel toolbar, here is how to add one:
View >Toolbars > Customize.
> Commands tab.
In the Categories list, choose Tools. In the Commands list, choose Custom.select little gray calculator icon next to it
Drag the calculator icon to the toolbar, letting it drop wherever you'd like it
to create Background Image in your spreadsheet:
add a background image
select Format > Sheet > Background. Select picture file.
tips to Keep Links to Source Workbooks Up to date-
If a cell refernce or sheet refernce is at another file location then we can make it update regularily by doing the following:
select the file and open
in the source box select name of the link with the source need to be changed
select change source
select souce worsheet or worbook in the change source dialog box.
To protect a worksheet-
select tools from menu and slect protect sheet.
there are many options like protect cell or whole sheet.
choose accordingly.
